What is a Playground Inspection?

A playground inspection provides a comprehensive audit check of your playground equipment. It is completed by a certified RPII inspector and ensures that you are meeting your obligations under the Health & Safety Act. Your inspector will document structural issues, worn and broken components, non-compliance areas and safety hazards in a formal written document

Are you a PCBU?

School boards, caretakers, restaurant owners, councils, churches and many other custodians of playgrounds are considered PCBUs, therefore, have an obligation as far as reasonably practicable to ensure the safety & compliance of their playgrounds. NZS5828:2015 documents that annual playground inspections are to be undertaken annually and should only be done by a competent person.

The inspection report includes:

  • NZS5828:2015 compliant assessment
  • Photos, risk assessment & recommendations
  • General health & safety hazards
  • Wear & tear/part damage identification
  • Structural stability evaluation
  • Free consultation with a playground maintenance provider
