Playground Safety Audit

Do you know if you are a PCBU? The acronym PCBU represents a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking. PCBU’s who may be responsible for playground safety are school boards, caretakers, restaurant owners, councils, churches, and many other custodians of playgrounds are considered PCBU’s.

The New Zealand Standard 5828:2015 documents that an annual playground inspection must be undertaken and should be completed by a competent person.
